INTRODUCTION

UPDSYSID.EXE is a utilty program that changes the partition ID.  The partition ID is used by the operating system during the boot process.  Do not use this utility without the express direction of a Ghost support technician.  Improper use of this utility can result in loss of information on the drive it is run on.  Take care when using this utility.

COMMAND LINE SYNTAX
updsysid <disk> - displays partition info for the disk (1 for first disk, etc.)
- updsysid 1

updsysid <disk> /update <part number> <current sys_id> <new sys_id>

EXAMPLES
Example #1: updsysid 1 /update 01 06 07 will change the second partition from 06 (FAT16) to 07 (NTFS) on drive 1.

Example #2: updsysid 2 /update 01 12 11 will change the second partition from 12 (FAT32X) to 11 (FAT32) on drive 2.

Example #3: updsysid 1 /update 00 12 11 will change the first partition from 12 (FAT32X) to 11 (FAT32) on drive 1.
