Paket-Installation / Locale / Hardware

s.a. Kurz-Referenz: /usr/share/doc/apt-dpkg-ref/apt-dpkg-ref.html

download dvd-iso: http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.1/i386/iso-dvd/

apt

apt-cache cdrom, apt-cache search –full <pattern>
apt-get install <pkg> (downloads pkg and all its dependencies and installs / upgrades them)

to upgrade system (may be dangerous, do it in steps from one version to the next, see Ubuntu/upgrade.txt): customize /etc/apt/sources.list, then
apt-get update (--dry-run) [ to be run before upgade ! ],  then apt-get upgrade (--dry-run)

Tree e.g. (if sarge is the current release):
“deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ sarge main non-free contrib” in sources.list stands for:
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/non-free
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/contrib
# Lokale Paketquelle
"deb file:/pfad/zu/freigabe hardy main"
# CD-Rom Eintrag (hier: Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 i386-Version)
"deb cdrom:[Ubuntu 8.04 _Hardy Heron_ - Release i386 (20080423)]/ hardy main restricted"

see: ubuntu/install-pkgs.txt

      2. Eintrag in modules.conf über /etc/modules:
        neue Datei ide-scsi:
        options ide-cd ignore=”hdc hdd”
        pre-install sg modprobe ide-scsi
        alias erstellen:
        alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
        alias scsi_hostadapter1 aic7xxx
        alias scsi_hostadapter2 ide-scsi
        anpassen:
        /etc/fstab;
/dev/cdrom bzw. /etv/dvd, in /dev/ mit Link cdrom bzw. dvd auf scd0 bzw. sr0 und scd1 bzw. sr1 verweisen.

      3. nach Neustart testen mit: cdrecord -scanbus

  1. gtoaster – a GUI for creating CDs (needs: cdda2wav, cdrecord, mkisofs, sax)

  2. read / write Image:

The method for writing the image file onto a floppy depends on your OS:
    # dd if=image of=/dev/fd0 (where image is the image filename)
    # cmp image /dev/fd0 (where image is the image filename)

DFUe - Mail

MTA

Mail Transport Agent z.B. exim:
z.B.
- exim (eximconfig = conf-prg) (manual: /usr/share/doc/exim/spec.txt.gz bzw.

MDA

Mail Delivery Agent (mail ausliefern)
z.B. exim, smail, sendmail

MUA

Mail User Agent (mail schreiben und lesen)
z.B. mutt, pine, elm, mailx

mail: cfg: /etc/mail.rc, ~/.mailrc; Postbox: /var/mail/*, old mail: ~/mbox

mutt: cfg: ~/.muttrc oder ~/.mutt/muttrc, /etc/Muttrc;
/usr/share/doc/mutt/html/manual.html
Vorsicht! verwendet /etc/email-addresses zur Namensumsetzung lokaler Namen

balsa: cfg:
needs existing file /var/mail/<username> (may be empty, or user must be member of “mail”-group to generate it)

procmail: (process mail),

fetchmail-ssl: mail abholen, weiterleiten (POP, IMAP), fetchmailconf
fetchmail -c -f <rc-file> ; shows how many mails are waiting on the server
fetchmail -k -t 60 -f ~/.fetchmailrc-gmx ; keeps mails, returns after timeout of 60 secs, reads configfile

Gnome

needed packages: gnome-session (gnome-panel), gnome-help, gnome-control-center, nautilus

Remote

(see: /usr/share/doc/HOWTO/en-html/Remote-X-Apps-6.html):

  1. Tell the local display (the server) to accept connections from the remote computer.
    (Debian: /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc: -nolisten tcp entfernen
    /etc/X11/xdm/xservers: -nolisten tcp entfernen)

  1. Tell the remote application (the client) to direct its output to your local display:
set DISPLAY on client + start x-prg on client:
    xfig -display light.uni.verse:0 & or DISPLAY=light.uni.verse:0 xfig &
    or DISPLAY=light.uni.verse:0; dark$ export DISPLAY; dark$ xfig &

  1. ~/.Xauthority

  1. evtl. erst erzeugen;

  2. cookie nach client host transportieren:

  1. Shared Home Directories

  2. By the Remote Shell, rsh

  3. Manually, by Telnet

  4. Using the Cookie
An X application on dark.matt.er, such as xfig above, will automatically look in ~/.Xauthority there for the cookie to authenticate itself with.

  1. SSH
To turn on X forwarding over ssh, use the command line switch -X or write the following in your local ssh configuration file:
    Host remote.host.nam ForwardX11 yes
The ssh server (sshd) at the remote end automatically sets DISPLAY to point to its end of the X forwarding tunnel. The remote tunnel end gets its own cookie; the remote ssh server generates it for you and puts it in ~/.Xauthority there. So, X authorisation with ssh is fully automatic.

Sonst

startx -- -bpp 16 :1 vt8

host/unix:D.S means screen S on display D of host host; the X server for this display is

/mnt/hda1 192.168.0.0/16(ro,no_root_squash,nohide)
/home *.eden.sbr(rw,no_root_squash)

nach export-Aenderung: “/etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server reload” oder “exportfs” bzw. “exportfs -a”

client:

nfs muß geladen sein
portmap
mounten:
/etc/fstab: mt13:/ /mnt/mt13 nfs noauto,user,exec,intr,bg,soft,suid,rw 0 0
oder:
mount -v -t nfs -o nohide,nolock,rsize=4096,wsize=4096,soft,intr 192.168.178.20:/ /mnt/test

1. Module laden: sd_mod, usb-uhci, usb-storage;
2. usbdevfs mounten: (mount -t usbdevfs none /proc/bus/usb); oder
fstab: none /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs defaults 0 0
3. USB-Stick mounten: mount -v -t [vfat | umsdos] /dev/sda1 /usbstick
